Today is Day 8 of 12 Days of Handmade Christmas Ornaments. That means we only have five days left (including today) of this crazy ornament party! I've got another simple one for you today: a gold polka dot glass ball ornament. I love the simplicity of today's ornament. It's festive without screaming I'M GLITTERY!! Look how shiny I am! if you know what I mean. It only took about 10 minutes to make too, which is a bonus if you're in the market for an easy handmade ornament.
The supplies you'll need are:
- Glass ball ornament*
- Glue dots
- Gold glitter
Apparently I'm into alliteration today with my supplies list. Also, the red beads are for show - you don't actually need them for this project...don't let the photo confuse you :).
First step: add glue dots all randomly to the glass ball ornament.
Step 2: Add glitter onto the glue dots. Glitter can become a complete mess if you're not careful. It gets everywhere. To keep the mess to a minimum, I dip my fingertip in the glitter and press it onto the glue dots. I dip and press a couple of times to get good coverage.
That's it! Now I've got a pretty little (shiny!) ornament to hang on my tree!
