Lovely Links

It's Friday! Time for another installment of lovely links heading into the weekend. I think it's so fun to collect inspiration, stories, pretty makeovers and tips throughout the week and then share them with you each Friday. Did you have any favorite links from this week? Share 'em! I keep my round-up to eight links, but I know there are so many other awesome things out there in the blogosphere. What did y'all love this week?

1 | I'm totally pumped about going to the Hometalk Halloween Hunt in a couple of weeks. This is my first "real" blogger event and I have no idea what to expect. You can read all about the event on Cassie's blog. Are you a DC area blogger and are you going? Let me know in the comments. I can't wait to meet you!

2 | I don't have much experience refinishing furniture (I'm usually a paint it kind of gal), so I learned a ton from reading this tutorial from Yellow Brick Home. The top of one of my favorite pieces from my grandparents could use a refresh, so I may be using these tips soon.

3 | I love a good kitchen redo. Especially budget-friendly ones that reuse most of the existing elements. If you do too, you'll want to take a look at this one :).

4 | I recently started following a blog called Elembee, and just LOVED this post she wrote called Just Keep Doing. It's chock full of encouragement for creative bloggers and entrepreneurs, but honestly, I think that these words apply to lots of other situations in life as well. My favorite quote from the post? "Start where you are and just keep going." It's worth a read.

5 | I feel like I reference the power of paint every week, but look what a little gold spray paint did to transform boring stools into pretty gold ones!

6 | How lovely is this coral and white bedding? I think it would go quite nicely with our coral, gray and white upholstered headboard. :)

7 | Yes, there are lots of tutorials out there for those Anthro look-alike zinc letters, but this one is a great addition! And it takes two, yes TWO steps to do. Talk about easy.

8 | I think I'm finally ready to make the season change from summer to fall now that we've had a set of crisp, jacket-worthy mornings here. Guess that means I'm ready for pumpkins! Halloween is probably my least favorite holiday (sorry all you Halloween lovers out there), but I do like the creativity that comes with pumpkin carving and decorating. I came across a bunch of different ideas on Country Living that I liked. If you're looking for ideas, check out this slideshow. There are tons!

What are y'all up to this weekend? I'm planning to conquer a few projects and head to the ballpark to enjoy the last homestand of the season of my beloved Nationals. Happy weekend!
