Creative Bits | 5

Can you believe we're already {almost} a week into November? That means that Thanksgiving is quickly approaching - in 16 days to be exact! I love this time of year because it forces me to focus on gratitude and be thankful for the many blessings in my life. Because, let's be real, that's not always easy. In fact, it's much easier to complain or go through life passively without stopping to be grateful. I have to make a conscious effort to remember to do that, so having Thanksgiving looming in the not-too-distant future helps me out.

Another, practical, way to help me remember to be thankful is brought to you courtesy of Emily from jones design company. She created something called a Thankful Tree, which is exactly what it sounds like. It serves as today's Creative Bit, and - bonus! - it comes with free, printable "I am thankful for" cards so you can jump on this project right away if you, like me, need a little help expressing gratitude. :)

I may have to rig myself up a thankful tree this weekend.

These (below) are the cards she's offering as a free printable - aren't they just lovely and simple?

Oh, and happy election day! Go vote - and be thankful that we live in a country where we can do so freely!
