"Using and Loving What You Have" Feature: IHeart Organizing {31 Days: Day 25}

Good morning y'all! I hope your Fridays are off to a good start so far. I figure you might've heard enough of me talking about using and loving what I have in this series, so I'm changing things up a bit and sharing an awesome "using what you have" makeover with you today from one of my favorite bloggers - Jen of IHeart Organizing! If you're not familiar with her blog, you must check it out. She's not only an organizer extraordinaire, she's got crazy awesome design skills and uses budget friendly materials and ideas. I've loved every project she's done. And though we've never met in person, based on her writing and the few emails we've exchanged, I think she's sweet as can be!

Ok, enough gushing, let's get to the good stuff! This week, Jen showed off an amazing bathroom makeover project that she called a "refresh" - and I was blown away. And, as you read in today's post title, she did it using ONLY things she already had. Yes, she transformed her most frequently used (and well loved on) bathroom with a little elbow grease, paint, and an extra cabinet she already had.

She took it from this:

...to THIS!

No major renovation. No power tools needed. She just used her time, creativity, and what she already had to take her space from something "meh" to something fabulous! She talked about how putting in this little bit of time and effort now buys her family some extra time to save and plan for a more major renovation later (though if you ask me, I'd say she doesn't need one now!). Impressive, right?

For more details and the full story on this makeover, check out Jen's blog. Thanks so much to Jen for letting me share a few photos of her lovely "new" bathroom and for showing me how it's possible to not only do things like simple crafts and projects, but an entire ROOM makeover using only what you already have.

Now that's a great example of how you can learn to love your home more without spending any of your hard-earned dollars!

I realize that not all of us may be able to accomplish something as big as a room makeover using what we have, but tomorrow, I'll be back with a list of ideas of ways you can use/reuse items you probably have laying around the house to give all sorts of places in your home a little refresh.

Have a great weekend!
